A big impact on the reason why parents forbid their children to listen to this genre is the rapper known as Waka Flocka Flame. He promotes gang violence, drug use, and even in one of his songs he considers how he dropped out of school. Rappers such as these are a bad influence on the youth. In the past children have done riots in schools , and they even skip school to sell drugs to make money. All of those things are imfluenced by rap music and rappers such as Waka Flocka. Waka Flocka cannot say a better sentence then a two year old can, and is making thousands of dollars. This makes the youth think that dropping out of school and considering “Rapping” as a multi- millionaire career. History of the genre Gangsta Rap, has always been a capacious argument. In the blogs and even in the news, Rap has always been thought to be an entry way to “DANGER”. To certain people opinions Rap only talks about women, sex, drugs and violence. These gateways seemed to influence the youth to believing that violence was the answer to everything. Places such as Oakland California, the west side of Chicago or even Liberty City in Miami Florida, the crime rate was at its all-time high in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Groups such as NWA, Geto Boys and even well-known rappers Biggie Smalls and Tupac where great influences on this tragedy during this time. Rap is known for MCing or in other words a vocal style where an artist expresses the way they feel through music. Some of these expressions weren’t so nice. Rappers such as Dr.Dre expressed how they felt about other rappers such as Eazy-E in his lyrics in his well-known track “Dre Day” where he says “Oh, don't think I forgot, let you slide Let me ride, just another homicide Yeah it's me so I'ma talk on.
